WBWe Build Modular Buildings

Delivery and crane access: what to check

Most modular buildings arrive on a lorry and are lifted into place by crane. A few simple checks avoid surprises on the day.

Road access

The lorry needs a route to site with enough width and turning room. Narrow lanes, weight limits and low bridges are the usual problems.

Crane position

The crane needs firm, level standing within reach of the base. The heavier the section and the further the reach, the bigger the crane.

Overhead and nearby hazards

Overhead cables, trees and buildings near the lift path need checking. Sometimes cables must be shrouded or switched off.

Our site check

We check access before quoting and confirm lifting arrangements before delivery. Use the delivery estimator on our prices page for a guide.
